Matthew McConaughey stars in Jean-Marc Vallée’s DALLAS BUYERS CLUB as real-life Texas cowboy Ron Woodroof, whose freewheeling ways are cut short in 1985 when he is diagnosed as HIV-positive and given 30 days to live. Shunned by many of his old friends and unable to access possible life-saving treatments, Woodroof takes matters into his own hands and starts a “buyers club” with a HIV+ transsexual Rayon (Jared Leto). Rejecting the advice of his physician, Dr .Eve Saks (Jennifer Garner), Woodroof tracks down alternative treatments from all over the world, thus prolonging his life, and the life of others around him.
