GODZILLA DIES! *** Be sure to turn on CLOSED CAPTIONS for English subtitles *** This ominous statement was included on the early advertising for this final film of the Heisei Era. After a 10-year cinematic return and in anticipation of the upcoming film from Sony Pictures / Tristar, the decision was made for Godzilla to take a final bow... but to go out in grand style. The movie received worldwide attention in the press for the unthinkable promise that Godzilla would meet its demise. But to give the audience something special, an all-new monster was created and one with ties to the very first Godzilla film in 1954... introducing Destoroyah! The monster design has been a fan-favorite and is as menacing as you'd imagine. The film continues the theme of new monsters and updated ones by giving Destoroyah various forms and Little Godzilla is now a larger, more matured monster known as Godzilla Junior. But perhaps the biggest and most impressive design is that of Godzilla. To portray the plot that Godzilla is slowly dying and approaching the point of a catastrophic energy release similar to a nuclear disaster, Godzilla now glows red and orange and emits steam. With patches of its body covered in pulsating light, Godzilla looks as if it is radiating and on fire. The 1995 design has been nicknamed "Burning Godzilla" because of this. It was a fitting finale to the Heisei series, but it would take more than Destoroyah to keep Godzilla away forever. #Godzilla ===== For more information regarding Godzilla, check out our other channels: Homepage https://godzilla.com/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/godzilla_toho/ Twitter https://twitter.com/Godzilla_Toho ===== TM & © TOHO CO., LTD.
Godzilla vs. Destoroyah
A burning Godzilla, on the verge of meltdown, emerges to lay siege to Hong Kong. At the same time horrifying new organisms are discovered in Japan. These crustacean-like beings are seemingly born of the Oxygen Destroyer, the weapon that killed the original Godzilla.
