The Blood Test

The mysterious "Thing" is killing off members of an Arctic research outpost one by one, then disguising itself among the researchers. MacReady (Kurt Russell) has just realized that the individual parts of "the Thing" are each their own life form, so he proposes an ingenious test. He tests each surviving researchers' blood with a hot wire to see whose blood comes to life, in what is perhaps the tensest scene in one of the most high-tension movies of all time.
