After a long battle of fighting for their right to be together, Richard Loving (Joel Edgerton) and his wife, Mildred (Ruth Negga), are closer to the finish line than they've ever been. Though their lawyer Bernie Cohen (Nick Kroll) is hopeful for their success, Richard grows weary of the process and isn't keen on testifying in front of the Supreme Court when Bernie suggests that it will help their case.
