Disney personally supervised Fantasia 2000. • The film was released in 70mm IMAX format in 100 theaters. • A Walt Disney Feature Animation newsletter from January 11, 1999 features a different show order compared to the final line-up featured in the film. In the previous line-up, Rhapsody in Blue is not on the program and two additional segments from the original Fantasia were listed (Dance of the Hours and The Nutcracker Suite). Pines of Rome was originally to be introduced by Angela Lansbury and Itzhak Perlman, Dance of the Hours was to be introduced by Oprah Winfrey, and The Nutcracker Suite was to be introduced by Yo-Yo Ma. The Copyright Laws of the United States recognizes a “fair use” of copyrighted content.
