For almost 1000 years, the evil Nightmare Moon has been imprisoned on the Moon by Princess Celestia, but legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape and she will bring about nighttime eternal. While most believe this to be only an old ponies tale, Twilight Sparkle thinks otherwise and as she struggles to convince the Princess of the same, she also strives to understand the mysterious Elements of Harmony; six objects that are said to have the power to stop Nightmare Moon. But the road is full of dangers, some even more dangerous than Night Mare Moon herself and Twilight is unable to handle them all on her own...
