Jeremy Allen White (born February 17, 1991) is an American actor. He has starred as Lip Gallagher on the Showtime comedy-drama series Shameless (2011–2021) and as troubled chef Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto in the Hulu comedy-drama series The Bear since 2022. For the latter, he has been nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and won a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics' Choice Television Award. White has also appeared in the first season of the thriller series Homecoming (2018) and in several films, including Afterschool (2008), Twelve (2010), After Everything (2018), and The Rental (2020).
